Look for Onslow CHIP at this annual workplace wellness event on Friday, October 21, 2011

COMMUNITY HEALTH FAIR - BELGRADE

The Belgrade Community Action Association invited Onslow CHIP, Onslow County Health Department (OCHD) and Onslow Memorial Hospital (OMH) to participate in a Summer Health Fair. Clinical professionals from OMH and OCHD conducted cholesterol and glucose screenings. Special thanks to Sue Talbert and Judi Mcdowell!

EAT SMART, MOVE MORE WEIGH LESS Onslow CHIP is co-sponsoring this 16 week weight-management program that uses strategies proven to work and invites City and County employees and the general public to Eat Smart, Move More and Weigh Less!

This program will teach you the skills needed to change your eating habits and physical activity patterns.

Instructor: Robin Seitz, Extension Agent, Family and Consumer Sciences, NC Cooperative Extension-Onslow

When: 12:00pm, every Tuesday from August 30-November 22

Where: Onslow County Health Department, 612 College Street

Cost: $10.00 includes journal and program book.

What to bring: Please bring a healthy bag lunch.

Health Screenings (BP, glucose & cholesterol) available at first and last meetings. Health-focused lunch & door prizes provided at last meeting, November 22!
